A fat Russian pitch invader scores a penalty

The fat lad in the stripey jumper has a mean left foot.

Slightly concerned by the right-wing salute celebration though. Can't see Adebayor doing that if he scores at the Emirates...

Little Lion Man - Mumford & Sons (Video)

I like this... the single is out today.

These guys are from London and have worked with other capital-based folksters such as Laura Marling and Noah & The Whale, and I believe they are also working with The Maccabee's in some form or other.

Their debut album, Sigh No More, is out next Monday. I'll be supporting it with my hard earned Sterling.

Karen O - All Is Love

Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeah's has a change of pace for the new Spike Jonze movie film based on the classic US children's book Where The Wild Things Are.

Wally Hermes Yachts - WHY

Good Lord!

Monaco yacht builders Wally have teamed up with France's premier posh-gear peddler Hermes to create WHY, Wally Hermes Yachts. If this ever gets built, I would pay money just to look at it.

New Shofolk A/W range

Folk's footwear line, entitled Shofolk (pronounced Shoe Folk, not 'Show' Folk) has always been a favourite of mine. The Finlay, pictured above, is a new derby for this year (and I want a pair).
-
Go to Folk's website 'superstore' to check out the rest of the line (including the Alaric, which I picked up last autumn, and got a bit of stick for).

Paranormal Activity - Trailer

This years Blair Witch Project.

Described by one US journo as "genuinely horrifying".

From this promo, it doesn't seem to be getting a blanket release.

Jay-Z - Roc Boys ( Radio 1 Live Lounge)

I caught this live on the radio the other day whilst chained to the desk at the plantation. He performed 'Encore' with piano accompaniment too, which was nice.

My first thought was "I need the mp3". The video will have to do for now.

Side note: How is a 39 year old multi-millionaire still one of the best rapping? The 'youth', and their unhealthy focus on cars, watches and money, have lost in a big way...

Julian Casablancas goes solo

via nme.com
-
The Strokes' Julian Casablancas has posted a new solo song, '11th Dimension', on his official MySpace page. The track will be released as a single on November 2 following the release of the frontman's debut solo album, 'Phrazes For The Young', released on October 19.
-
I loved the first two Strokes' albums. The third one... not so much. But I'm still keen to see where he pitches his solo efforts. Check it out at Myspace/juliancasablancas.

The Black Keys x Hip Hop = Blak Roc

I'm so excited about this...

My favourite band in the world The Black Keys, have hooked up with former Jay-Z buddy/business partner Dame Dash to create the 'Blak Roc' project (notice how Dame managed to crowbar in a 'Roc' reference).

Effectively, we have a CD full of incredible Black Keys music, featuring the vocal talents of some excellent emcees (Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, Q-Tip) and some not so great ones (Jim Jones, NOE).

The Surrogates - Trailer

This looks a bit silly, but I'm strangely intrigued...

...oh, I'm back, btw...
