Torres Nike Advert - Genius
Best.
Advert.
Ever.
Too many highlights... "Adios lah", whilst stepping out of the chippy with a tub full of olives is my current favourite though....

The Fight That Killed Oasis
Jamie T - Jilly Armeen (Audio)
This is great. No, it's better than that. It's superb.
The album is worth a look if you've got £10 burning a hole in your pocket...

Vampire Weekend - Horchata mp3
New Vampire Weekend track, from the forthcoming album 'Contra' (Jan 11th release date for the UK). This track is called Horchata. It's stupidly silly, and ludicrously catchy. Very much business as usual for these fellas, then.
You can download this track in a .zip file HERE, which even comes with a pretty pdf of the cover and a lyric sheet.
Them Crooked Vultures - Scumbag Blues (Teaser Trailer)
Josh Homme. Dave Grohl. John Paul Jones.
Queens. Nirvana (or Foo's, if you like shit music). Led Zep.
We need more supergroups. The one I'd love to see is 'The Rolling Beats"... McCartney, Ringo, Jagger, Richards.
Har Mar Superstar - Tall Boy (Video)
A bit weird, a bit funny, a bit gay, a bit sexy (my mate Eva Mendes again)...
Toy Story 3 - Full Trailer
The first full trailer for 2010's Toy Story 3.
Editors - Papillon (Video)
I just picked up (ie. downloaded) the new Editors album yesterday. I will feed back in due course.
This is a strong single though. It has certainly grown on me...

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans - Trailer
Nic Cage (meh), Xzibit (nah), Werner Herzog directing (interesting)... Eva Mendes (earmarked as my future wife should my marriage go badly wrong...whoo-hoo!).
A sequel of sorts to Abel Ferrara's troubling 90's classic staring Harvey Kietel, which you should see if you haven't already. This time, Nic Cage is a smack head in New Orleans, as opposed to Kietel's New York-based 'window-wanker' (see the film... it will explain).
Werner Herzog directing bodes well though...

Pharrell's New Hoodie - Worth More Than Your Car
1800 Tequila - Essential Artists Bottle Range
Q-Tip - Life Is Better feat. Norah Jones (Video)
Interesting visuals.
Quite how Norah Jones became a regular collaborator with Hip Hop artists (Tip, Talib Kweli, Andre from Outkast, Wyclef... if you can count him as 'hip hop'), I don't know. But it works...

Thom's Supergroup
Thom Yorke has pulled together a supergroup of sorts, including Flea and a chap from REM. Naturally, Nigel Godrich is also on board as a producer. A gig in LA acted as a rehearsal at the weekend...

Noah And The Whale - Blue Skies (Video)
Excellent track (kicks in around the 30 sec mark)
I was a touch slow warming to this, but I played it three times back to back this morning.
Gratuitous Kate Moss Pic
New Foo Fighters... Yawn
Jesus. Kurt is turning in his grave.
I really don't rate these guys. Music for Aussies and Kiwi's. It's all so... safe. No doubt this will be getting spins on Steve Wright's Radio 2 show. Which says it all. really.
2012 - 5 Minute Scene
Excuse the stutter start, but this is worth posting.
It's Independance Day x 10 in respect of global destruction FX.
It's bloody silly too...
Untitled - Trailer
"The past doesn't influence me... I unfluence it!"
I love a good old piss take. And although I'm partial to elements of the contemporary art world, it's a an open goal for comedians,..
Up In The Air - Trailer
Looks good.
This is showing as a gala screening at this months London Film Festival.
Clooney is the closest thing this generation has to a true hollywood film star of the 50's.
