After all the fuss over Exhibit C, Jay is dropping a video to his earlier Exhibit A track, which I'm rediscovering a love for, thanks primarily to these new visuals. Frustratingly, this is only a snippet.
Enjoy.

'808's & Heartbreak' Promo Shots
Some fashion-forward promo-pics for the new Kanye West album, '808's & Heartbreak', have hit the 'net over the weekend. You'll no doubt have noticed that they are as far away as possible from your typical Hip Hop cliches... no guns, no baggy jeans, no gold, no cap, no sportswear. He even goes as far as to wear a brooch in the shape of a broken heart!*
It sounds like the album will be equally as genre-defying... a labour of love with almost no rapping, 808 beats on EVERY TRACK and lots of Autotune-assisted singing (if rumours are to be believed, Kanye had to promise his label boss Jay-Z that he would put out another, more conventional album in April 09).

Cool Kids - What It Is mp3

The Bake Sale is out today.
Go HERE to buy it online, or do it the old fashioned way and walk into a record shop with a tenner in your hand, like I'll be doing in exactly 30 minutes.
Here is a video taster and there is an mp3 (below) to convince you to do just that.

Mickey Factz - Machine Gun (feat. Portishead) mp3
Mickey Factz steals the industrial Portishead beat for the backdrop to this track that explores three reasons why guns are used (namely; revenge, anger and self-defence).-------------------

Mickey Factz & Lauryn Hill - Live Water

Not really a 'featuring Lauryn Hill' affair, more of a 'stolen from Lauryn Hill' affair...
Some astute looping from Lauryn's MTV Unplugged album (the one with 25 minutes of acoustic music and 55 minutes of her rambling about Jesus and railing against materialistic urges) and New York emcee Mickey talking about a failed relationship through an extended water-based metaphor (have I lost you yet?) makes for a good way to spend 5 minutes of your life.
