Leon + I Am Legend + Mad Max + The Road?
Folk's footwear line, entitled Shofolk (pronounced Shoe Folk, not 'Show' Folk) has always been a favourite of mine. The Finlay, pictured above, is a new derby for this year (and I want a pair). This years Blair Witch Project.
Described by one US journo as "genuinely horrifying".
From this promo, it doesn't seem to be getting a blanket release.
I caught this live on the radio the other day whilst chained to the desk at the plantation. He performed 'Encore' with piano accompaniment too, which was nice.
My first thought was "I need the mp3". The video will have to do for now.
Side note: How is a 39 year old multi-millionaire still one of the best rapping? The 'youth', and their unhealthy focus on cars, watches and money, have lost in a big way...
via nme.comI'm so excited about this...
My favourite band in the world The Black Keys, have hooked up with former Jay-Z buddy/business partner Dame Dash to create the 'Blak Roc' project (notice how Dame managed to crowbar in a 'Roc' reference).
Effectively, we have a CD full of incredible Black Keys music, featuring the vocal talents of some excellent emcees (Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, Q-Tip) and some not so great ones (Jim Jones, NOE).
This looks a bit silly, but I'm strangely intrigued...
...oh, I'm back, btw...
Michael Cera is quality, of course, but Zach Galifianakis is a funny dude too...
Cera has been getting some stick lately for playing the same character in every film. Harsh criticism...
Out to buy on DVD on Monday, the feature length version of the BBC's 'The Thick of It'.
Malcolm Tucker is a hero of mine...
100m World Record run from a few nights back. The Italian commentators loved it.
And he's only gone and done it again tonight in the 200m... it's almost unfair. He should have to run carrying an egg and spoon from now on.
Highlights include:
"Airforce 1... where they found all that stuff"
"I'm always hallucinating, who really knows what I'm looking at"
"Water man, you heard the man... WATER"
Note to journo's - please interview more pissed-up/high people. It will make watching the news a more enjoyable experience.
